Introspection

It is based on the mind's reflective capacity to immediately refer to or be aware of its own states; when this reflective capacity is exercised in the form of memories about the past, it tends to generate greater confidence. Introspection is the observation an individual makes of their own inner world, actions, relationships, revealing unconceived states of satisfaction.

What is it for in marketing and advertising?

To understand the direct relationship between an individual's states and preferences with a brand or product, where this knowledge is not direct but immediate, to increase expectations for a brand, and to improve purchase and repurchase experiences.

Innovation

It is an innovation strategy under which companies go beyond the internal limits of their organization, and where the cooperation of external professionals plays a fundamental role. Open Innovation means combining internal knowledge with external knowledge to advance research and development strategy projects. It also means that companies, using both internal and external channels, can generate greater innovation or creativity in their products and technologies; this type of innovation responds to the possibility of what is known as collective intelligence.

What is it for in marketing and advertising?

It reduces time and costs, captures innovative solutions and ideas that could not have been developed within the company due to lack of time, methodologies, knowledge, or technological means, and incorporates innovation from external organizations (technology centers, research, etc.).

Thinking

It is a human-centered approach to innovation. It uses design tools to integrate needs, technological possibilities, and requirements for business success. This is an interactive process and closely resembles the one used in internationally recognized core technology companies known as "Lean Startup" (build, measure, learn), and these are what best define the process prior to generating business ideas (it is something disruptive). It seeks to solve users' needs, problems, and desires.
